Terms of Service

Last updated: June 11, 2026

The short version. FastNook is a free fasting tracker for logging and understanding your fasts. It is informational only and not medical advice. We don't guarantee the app will work without interruption, and our liability is limited because the service is free. If you have a medical condition or take medications, consult a healthcare professional before fasting. By using FastNook you agree to these terms.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of FastNook, available at fastnook.com and fastnook-app.pages.dev and as the FastNook app on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. They form a binding agreement between you and ApsteQ (owned by Arshpreet Singh, India), the operator of FastNook. If you don't agree to them, please don't use FastNook.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use FastNook. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Your account

4. What FastNook does (and doesn't do)

FastNook is a timer and tracker for your fasting sessions. You set your fasting goal, start a session, and the app tracks your elapsed time and shows you estimated metabolic stages based on standard fasting science. FastNook does NOT:

FastNook is purely informational and educational.

5. Medical disclaimer

Important: FastNook is NOT medical advice. Fasting is not appropriate for everyone. Do NOT fast if you:

Before starting any fasting protocol, especially extended fasts, consult a qualified healthcare professional (doctor, registered dietitian, or nurse practitioner). Your healthcare provider can assess your individual health, medications, and medical history to determine if fasting is safe for you. FastNook is a tool for tracking; it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use FastNook to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, sometimes without notice if the situation is serious.

7. Your content

You own the data you put into FastNook: your fasting sessions, schedule names, and optional notes. You give us a limited licence to store and display that content as needed to run the app for you. We don't claim ownership over your data and we don't use it to train AI or sell to anyone.

8. Free service and future subscriptions

FastNook is currently free for all users with no ads. We may introduce optional paid features (Pro subscription) in the future. If we do, the core features (setting goals, logging fasts, viewing history for 7 days) will remain free. Pro may unlock longer history, advanced insights, and custom schedules. Pro billing will be handled by Stripe and you can cancel anytime.

9. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but we don't guarantee it. FastNook may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or outages. We won't be liable for any losses caused by downtime. Because FastNook is a PWA, many features work offline and sync when you reconnect.

10. Changes to the service

We may add features, change features, or retire features. If we make a material change that takes something away, we'll give you reasonable notice and let you export your data.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using FastNook at any time and request account deletion by emailing support@fastnook.com. We'll delete your account within 7 days. After deletion, you cannot recover your sessions or schedules.

We may suspend or close your account for serious violations of these terms or for legal reasons.

12. Third-party services

FastNook runs on Cloudflare and uses Amazon SES for email and Stripe for Pro payments. Their terms and privacy practices apply to the parts of the service they handle. See the privacy policy for more.

13. Disclaimers

FastNook is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the stage timeline will be accurate for your individual body. The metabolic stages shown are estimates and may not reflect your actual physiology.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ApsteQ and Arshpreet Singh will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any direct damages arising from your use of FastNook is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or (b) ten US dollars (USD 10). Because the service is free, in most cases this means our liability is capped at USD 10.

Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify ApsteQ and Arshpreet Singh against any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of FastNook, your content, or your breach of these terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Chandigarh, India, unless mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to sue elsewhere.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know by email and update the "Last updated" date above. By continuing to use FastNook after a change, you agree to the new terms.
